"Trachinolakka" Chasm

"Trachinolakka" chasm was explored in 1990 by S. Patramanis, P. Tsagarakis and G. Nathenas. It is located at the 26th kilometre of the old national road Heraklion-Chania, just 1 km before the village of Damasta.
The chasm can be found at an altitude of 320 metres. A vertical descent of 45 metres follows it, and its shape looks like a pipe.
It should be noted that the site is not easily accessible to anyone unfamiliar with the area.
