Malevizi olives are appreciated for their unique taste, fresh or salted.
They are considered "difficult" olives because they are not drubbed, as is the case with other types of olives. Olive growers allow them to gradually fall off the trees independently, so they must go around the same olive tree several times to harvest their entire crop.
With their oil being heavier and with more acids, they were gradually replaced by the so-called "psilolies". However, this kind of olives, raisin olives, are considered the most delicious, either as plain or as an accompaniment to your table. They do not need pruning and are consumed immediately after they have matured and been collected from the trees, as long as it has rained a little before picking.
