Marathos Regional Clinic
Regional clinics, which are located in areas with special geographical and population needs and are distant from the Health Centres to which they belong, may, by a joint decision of the Ministers of Economy and Finance, Interior, Public Administration and Decentralisation and Health and Welfare, be characterised as Multipurpose Regional Clinics.
The Multipurpose Clinics operate every day on working days for eight hours. On non-working days they are on duty from 08:00 to 16:00. During the remaining hours of all days, an on-call programme is implemented in which the doctors and, when necessary, other staff are required to participate in rotation. In the Multipurpose Clinics, in addition to the staff who serve in them, doctors and other Health Centres staff offer their services according to a programme drawn up by the Director of the Health Centre, as well as of the hospital to which the Health Centre belongs.
