Honour and remembrance events in Damasta and Marathos

Honour and memorial events for those executed by the German occupation troops of Damasta and Marathos will be held on Thursday, August 21st, by the Municipality of Malevizi. The events are held in collaboration with the Local Communities and organisations of Damasta and Marathos.
Damasta – 10:00 am
In Damasta, the annual memorial service for the 30 executed will be held at 10:00 am at the site of their execution in Keratidi. The ceremony programme includes a memorial service, greetings, a speech, and the laying of wreaths.
Marathos – 11:00 am
In Marathos, the annual memorial service for the 17 National Martyrs will be held at 11:00 am at the Hero's Monument. The ceremony program includes a memorial service, a greeting and the laying of wreaths.
