The Monument dedicated to the Fallen from the Germans is located within the mountain village of Marathos, which is 13 km from Tylissos and 14 km from Gazi. The Monument was designed and donated by Giannis Klinakis on August 21st, 1985. Every year, the established memorial service is held in the village with all formality for the rest of the 17 souls of the National Martyrs of Marathos who were unjustly lost at dawn on August 21st, 1944.
