The church of Agia Paraskevi is located in a green valley where the Jamas torrent flows. Specifically, it is located before the entrance to Krousonas (which is 21 km from Heraklion) at a distance of 500 metres to the left of the main road.
The stone fountain, the old olive mill (factory), and the dining room with traditional ovens complete the balance and beauty of the space. A full-length footprint of the Virgin Mary in the depression of an adjacent rock called "Melissocharakas" adds to the religious dimension of the spot. In fact, according to local tradition, "Melissocharakas" moved, along with smaller rocks, to its current location from the archaeological site "Koupos".
