The opening of the exhibition “All Paper—Crete’s Gathering” by artist Pelagia Androulakis will take place at the Dominicos Theotokopoulos Museum in Fodele on Wednesday, September 17th, at 5:00 p.m.
Artist Pelagia Androulakis, with her skilful “rebellion” against the use of brush and paint, explores and invents new ways of creating works, with paper scraps from used magazines. Having presented her first solo exhibition, which adds to the numerous group exhibitions in which she herself participated, the artist presents “All Paper – Crete’s Encounter”, which selectively includes works with reference to Crete.
In her own unique way, she experiments and composes using the Minoan Civilisation (the cradle of European Civilisation) as her starting point.
Maria Petrakogiorgi-Anifantaki curated the exhibition, which was supported by the Municipality of Malevizi and the Region of Crete.
