Lefkadia or Pantanassa beach
Lefkadia or Pantanassa beach is located 6 km northwest of the settlement of Gazi and 12 km west of Heraklion.
More specifically, the beach is located below the Monastery of Panagia Pantanassa and is adjacent to the Rodia fishing shelter. It is a quiet beach with sand, pebbles and crystal-clear waters. Visitors there can find a few umbrellas and sunbeds. Covered by pine trees, the beach is ideal for those who prefer moments of relaxation and tranquillity.
The beach is named after the Monastery of the same name, which is dedicated to the Genesis of the Virgin and celebrates on September 8th. Access to the beach is easy, while the port offers several parking spaces. Finally, at the entrance of the small port, you can enjoy your food or coffee at the fish taverns and cafes located there.
