The monument of the Heroes is located in the elevated foyer of the newest settlement of Korfes.
The village is built at an altitude of 290 meters and is 20 kilometres from Heraklion. Also, at a short distance from the monument of the Fallen, the visitor can see the festive church of the Holy Trinity, which dates back to 1885.
