Church of Agios Georgios
The church of Agios Georgios is located in the village of Keramoutsi, which is 3.5 km from Tylissos and 15 km from Heraklion. It is built on a lower level than the parish church of Saints Constantine and Helen. It is a small, one-room vaulted church that was built around 1800. During the Turkish occupation, it functioned as the main church of the village.
Inside, the old icon of Agios Georgios stands out, which was painted by Evangelos Markogiannakis (1874-1856), one of the most important painters of the period.
